Jim is Senior Consulting Designer for Artistic Kitchens & Baths. Founder and president of Cardinal Design Associates, LLC. Jim is a 20/20 software design expert. Jim is skilled in isometric drawings and hand renderings. He has served as both a field representative and a director for the National Kitchen & Bath Association. As a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), former design-business owner, and an industry design expert, Jim brings exceptional experience and skills, assistance, and support to our design group at Artistic Kitchens & Baths. He is a Master Wood-Mode designer. Prior to embarking on his design career in 1987, Jim spent three years as a linguist/interpreter for the U.S. Army's Top Secret Security Clearance Team in Europe.

Amber received her degree in Interior Design in 1998 and immediately joined the cabinetry industry as a designer with a cabinetry design firm in Tacoma, Washington. Exposed to a number of different West Coast design styles throughout her career, Amber has been able to create interesting twists on the more traditional designs associated with Southeast motifs during the past nine years in the Sandhills. Her appreciation for pleasing design is evident in all of her work. Amber continues to welcome the challenges of creating beautiful, timeless design. Whitney Wilson-Botts Phone: 919 256-8110

A graduate of N.C. State University, Whitney spent a number of years in retail management before turning her talents to the kitchen and bath industry. She possesses a practical sense of style adapted to sophisticated and unique solutions. Whitney takes great pride in her ability to complement her cabinetry design with other design elements. She has executed designs and managed projects for a number of Raleigh's elite builders and developers as well as leading local interior design firms. Whitney is a Wood-Mode design specialist. After graduating from Sandhills Community College in 2001 in Architectural Technology, Jamie began her career in design working with SanDavis Kitchens in Southern Pines and with The Kitchen Studio in Greensboro through 2009. Jamie brings ten years of experience to the AKB design team.

Mr. Botts is the company's Appliance Sales manager and oversees the company's information systems needs. A graduate of N.C. State University, Mr. Botts has extensive experience in IT-related systems and customer service programs. David also provides support in the marketing area and is the company's liaison and official representative with local Home Builder Associations and national industry organizations. Mr. Botts was formerly a program director for the Wake County YMCA, where he served for over seven years.

Bo Collins, Master Installer Phone: 910 603-0516

Gary (Bo) Collins began his career in construction in 1985 with Walker & Company Remodeling and continued with Collins Construction until 1995. After course work at Sandhills Community College and Fayetteville Technical College, Bo established Custom Cabinet Installers (CCI) in 1995 in partnership with Sandavis Kitchens & Interiors. His reputation for quality, fastidious attention to detail, and experience in the installation process is a valued addition to Artistic Kitchens & Baths design team as the Master Installer.

Ben Chamberlain, Custom Millwork Installer Phone: 910 603-0516

A native of the Sandhills, Ben Chamberlain began his career at Crosby Yacht Yard in Osterville, MA, building and repairing custom boats. He returned to the Sandhills in 1989 to work in construction and joined Bo Collins in 1993. Ben continued with Custom Cabinet Installers (CCI) in 1995 to install custom cabinetry. Specializing in fine trim work, their work was displayed in Southern Living. Ben works with the design team at AKB as the Custom Millwork Installer.

John C. Wilson Phone: 910 684-4091

Mr. Wilson serves as President and manages the day-to-day operations of the business. His responsibilities encompass operational oversight of the business, customer relationships and vendor relationships. A retired leading Wall Street investment banker at Credit Suisse, he advised on transactions worth over $300 billion during his career. Prior to his Wall Street endeavors, Mr. Wilson spent over 23 years in industry, primarily at Hardees Food Systems, where he rose to the position of CFO and was a member of the Board of Directors. He has advised and managed other smaller companies during his 35 year career. Mr. Wilson was a founding member and president of the Triangle's largest production-builder cabinet company where he grew revenue by 60% before leaving to start Artistic Kitchens & Baths.


Deborah B. Wilson Phone: 910 691-1666

Mrs. Wilson is vice president and chief administrative officer. She has extensive experience in education and media development. Prior to her retirement as Professor at Sandhills Community College, she developed a web-based Social Sciences distance learning program. She also founded and was the initial president of the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation in Moore County. This successful business venture was created to facilitate low-cost spays and neuters of companion animals for people who cannot afford traditional private veterinary medicine. As part of this endeavor, Mrs. Wilson raised over $500,000 of start-up capital, organized the business, recruited and presided over the independent board of directors, and managed the strategic planning process.
